Organic OG

Organic OG was a new Indica Strain I decided to try out at the dispensary.
Smells all natty, not skunky or chemically smelling.
Taste is a lil harsh, but all smoke burns my throat and lungs so I always hack a lung out lol.

Grown organically in soil this OG batch contains dense, heavily crystallized buds. Beautiful shades of dark green and red, it offers a smooth and flavorful smoke. Excellent indica body effects.
The bud was decent and fat, didnt care too much for this strain, maybe due to the organic flavor. Prefer a purp strain over this for sure, love those fruity buds.

DEA to halt medical marijuana raids

DEA to halt medical marijuana raids

Supporters of programs to provide legal marijuana to patients with painful medical conditions are celebrating Attorney General Eric Holder’s statement this week that the Drug Enforcement Administration would end its raids on state-approved marijuana dispensaries.
Federal raids on medical marijuana distributors continued at least into the second week of Barack Obama’s presidency, when federal agents shut down at least two dispensaries in California on Feb. 3.
Holder was asked about those raids Wednesday in Santa Ana, Calif., at a news conference that was called to announce the arrests of 755 people in a nationwide crackdown on the U.S. operations of Mexican drug cartels. He said such operations would no longer be conducted.
“What the president said during the campaign ... will be consistent with what we will be doing here in law enforcement,” he said. “What (Obama) said during the campaign ... is now American policy.”
Obama indicated during the presidential campaign that he supported the controlled use of marijuana for medical purposes, saying he saw no difference between medical marijuana and other pain-control drugs.
“My attitude is if the science and the doctors suggest that the best palliative care and the way to relieve pain and suffering is medical marijuana, then that’s something I’m open to,” Obama said in November 2007 at a campaign stop in Audubon, Iowa. “There’s no difference between that and morphine when it comes to just giving people relief from pain.”
White House spokesman Nick Shapiro hinted at the policy shift shortly after the California raids, telling The Washington Times that the dispensaries were legal in California and that the Obama administration’s stance was that “federal resources should not be used to circumvent state laws.”

L.A. Confidential

LA Confidential
[DNA Genetics]

100% Indica
Origins - California indica x Afghan indica
Flowering - 46-56 days
Harvest - Early October

L.A. Confidential is an Indica dominant hybrid. It was crafted to mimic the authentic OG's in the rap community of the late 80s and early 90s. At that time rap stars were able to get a consistent OG Kush that they made popular over and over again. Groups like Cypress Hill, and Artists like Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, were all part of the movement popularizing the hip hop pot culture. L.A. Confidential came on the seen and let people smoke like their favorite stars, as a reliable, potent OG Kush.

This weed is smooth. It's thick smoke forms dense clouds of spicy, hash like smoke. The buds both look and smell like they have a direct Indica geneology. They smell like hash, though almost a little sweet. They're dark green, is covered by dark orangish/brownish hairs. The high isn't a pure body stone, but's it's worthy of it's High Times Victory. It's mix of head and body buzzes and stimulation is almost psychedelic for noobies. It's a really relax high normally, warm but not too sleepy.

Purple Kush
[Coffeeshop SR-71]

100% Indica
Origins - Hindu Kush x Purple Afghani
Flowering - 50-60 days
Harvest - Early October

This pure indica medicinal strain comes from California. In that state's medical community she is considered an "elite clone", meaning that she is only available as a cutting. Not to worry if you are a medical merijuana patient in California - this strain can be found at various despensaries throughout the state. Purple Kush is especially popular at the SR-71 dispensary in "Oaksterdam", the section of downtown Oakland that tolerates medical marijuana providers. Patients there praise this Purple Kush's deep body stone as a treatment for pain and depression.

This lady forms a short squat bush with very dense intermodes and huge fan leaves, staying in the 2-3 foot height range indoors. With topping or pinching she will be at least as wide as she is tall. Purple Kush's foliage exhibits a classic indica growth pattern: a sturdy bush with dark green hues and hints of purple toward ripeness.

Purple Kush is versatile, performing well for both indoor and outdoor growers. She does very well in a screen of green (SCROG) setup. Purple Kush buds form tight chunky nuggets with hints of purple in the tips of the calyxes, as well as the soft pine bouquet and a sweet, grapey taste on an earthy foundation. her very frosty veneer of glands will please both the connoisseur of indica potency and the hashish fan. The Purple Kush high is strong, deep stone delivers when it comes to treating chronic pains and inflamations, among other conditions.

Sour Diesel

Sour Diesel

I figured I would do the next one on the plant im growing, Faith says this one the tall skinny lanky plant is mine and the short bushier one is hers lol.

Breeder: Reservoir

Lineage: Mexican Sativa X Chemo

Smell: Strong, potent. This stuff reeks.

Taste: Recognizably diesel but depends on phenotype.

Potency: High

Indica/Sativa: It has a 6:4 ratio of Indica to Sativa in terms of lineage, however the stabilized versions are pretty 50/50.

The lineage of Sour Diesel might only be known 100% a handful of people but it is most commonly believed to be the result of an accidental crossing of a Skunk strain with an original Diesel strain (Chemdawg x Northern Lights). This accidental pollination resulted in a handful of seeds that became known as the Sour Diesel phenotypes. Due to this, for many years Sour Diesel has been a strain that can exhibit a wide variety of traits. No original seeds from the original Sour Diesel mother exist and it was originally only available in clone form. Breeders selecting males with traits similar to the mother have been able to back-cross with certain phenotypes and produce mostly stable inbred lines labeled today as Sour Diesel.
